      Unhappy Speeds Plummeted

Over the weekend my speeds have plummeted. Beforehand i was getting 20mb download and 2mb upload. I've had no trouble in the last year and speeds rarely dropped.
But last night i had trouble just connecting to the internet, the internet light on my router was orange and nothing was coming thru. I left it overnight and this morning light was green, internet was coming thru but very very slow.

      Heres what im gettin now-

Connection Speed 72 kbps 66 kbps
Line Attenuation 11.5 db 6.4 db
Noise Margin 34.7 db 40.0 db

How can you have 2Mbps upload when Sky offer 1.3Mbps maximum??

I assume you've had to call Sky at some point? That's been put down test speed which is only done when connection can't be made at all and Sky are trying to get it working again after speaking to the customer

      Re: Speeds Plummeted

My mistake, that supposed to be 1mb upload.
And yeh i rang up and got someone tellin me to turn it off and on again and askin if it was plugged in. They said the router was broke and there send a new one.
I took my router to uncles to test and it works fine there.

Wandering if line may be problem.

Possibly, call them and get speed back up. If it works then it was a temporary issue - if it won't connect then it's a line/router issue

Call them again and if Tier 1 can't fix it ask them to put you through to the Customer Solutions Team, they will fix it in minutes. If you get a script reader who wants you to jump through hoops again, tell them you have already done it all and want passed to CST.
