So I joined Sky BB and i'm going through testing

HI people, So I joined Sky Broadband Unlimited,
Been going through the line testing stage for around 8days and despite my account saying testing is ongoing nothing has changed in days.
I want to start off by saying I'm quite happy that I have what I have but could someone look over my stats and tell me if they look correct, anything I can try.

Connection Speed 10236 kbps 921 kbps
      Line Attenuation 15.0db 9.3db
      Noise Margin 16.4db 10.0db

I'm on the master socket, and I get around 8463Kbps down and 740Kbps
Via the tester from this very site.

      Ping is around 68ms

Is this the Final speed do you reckon or is there more to come, On some days the router was saying 17500kbps up and 1000kbps down.

since then the speeds have decreased to little over what I had with BT (except the upload is nearly twice as fast)

      Any comments appreciated.

Your final speed should be 18-20Mb, if that is what you want to know.

LOL, I think when Paul said "more to come" the OP thought he was going to post more

Obviously we know he meant there was more speed to come.

Re: So I joined Sky BB and i'm going through testing

Hi so I am Back, My stats are still pretty much the same as in the original Post.
I'm getting approx 10MB (when it wants to as I've had as low as 3Mb at peak hours)
Can anyone give me any advice, I know if I ring sky I'm going to be fobbed off, could do with some ammo.

Again any help appreciated. Even if you tell me that 10MB is probably my limit.

You need to get onto Sky as they should be able to double the speed. As for the peak time thing, you could be on an exchange that's having back haul issues at present

Thanks for the quick reply, what would I say to get them to UP the speed.
I understand the back haul problem I think thats probably the case when it slows down.
