      Sudden speed increase.

No idea why but I've had an ongoing issue with my connection. Dropping from 13-14 down to 8 kbps. Today I checked my router and it's suddenly at 13715! I've done nothing to sort it so God knows what happened.

Just check it now before I came on and it's dropped to 12235. Still, a lot better than just over 8000. Any ideas why? Any news on fixes in the North West (I'm in Manchester)? I'll see how it goes, don't expect it to stay up and the fact it's dropped already is not a good sign. Wish me luck.

My Internet's been faster than normal the past few days, I've been able to stream during the trottle hours. I'm able to browse around youtube no problem.

Can't you just stop this BS and get the bill payer to move ISP so you can leave us in peace. You comment on posts regarding LLU connections like you're on the same package.

      Just leave already

      Re: Sudden speed increase.

That doesn't really show much of an overall improvement to me.

I would suggest that you try with different servers when testing on Speedtest.net .

From experience, different servers in the UK will give different results depending on where you're hooking into the web, as well as at different times of the day.

Recently I've found the Milton Keynes server to be more reliable, but this can easily change. I used to find Maidenhead better at one point, and London is good at off-peak periods.

Ultimately these speeds are only guides.

Sky Fibre Unlimited Pro: Connected at 80,000 kbps / 20,000 kbps
Previous ADSL2+ Speed 19999 kbps 1153 kbps, Line Attenuation 17.5 db 6.9 db, Noise Margin 7.5 dB 8.7 dB
      Speedtest: 17.15MB/s 0.97Mb/s Ping 31 ms

      Re: Sudden speed increase.

I've noticed drastic improvements. Has Sky bought more bandwith for connect users or something? I'm able to stream on youtube right now. Those irritating probs with my browsing are gone

This forum never fails to load in under 5 seconds

Edit: This is more like what they stated in their contract. Feels more like a BT connection at this time (BT's throttling I mean). I'm able to browse at these time now

      Re: Sudden speed increase.

Perhaps actually comment in the Connect threads as opposed to spamming LLU
