Your connections stats are still at the starting point.

Check in the morning to see if your router has restarted the WAN connection overnight. If it hasn't call once the sun has risen.

As User05 has posted in #19, there seems to be a few issues with some new connections not having had DLM run.

Be courteous and explain that DLM hasn't started and that you are aware of some related issues recently causing it not to start with some new connections. See if they can deal with it themselves or pass you to CST.

Re: Just been connected to sky LLU

Got on the phone to Sky this evening and requested that they run DLM again, apparently it had started yesterday but wasn't able to complete. This is how my stats look at the moment

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 6737 kbps 509 kbps
Line Attenuation 44.0 db 20.5 db
Noise Margin 6.7 db 18.6 db

A quick test on speedtest.net gave me this which is much better. Thanks.

There is a lot of room for improvement in your upload, but your download looks like it is on its limit and may even drop down a bit.

Speeds are holding steady and the noise margin has improved slightly to 7.1 and 18.8. How long does it take for the DLM to start readjusting speeds upwards on the upload, or do I need to request an increase from Sky? Most stats I've seen posted have a bigger noise margin for the upload than the download so I don't know if it automatically will increase the speed or not.

If DLM training is running it will. Check your WAN uptime in the morning if you resynced between 2 and 3. then it is running. If it didn't rsync, call Sky and ask them to increase your upload.

Re: Just been connected to sky LLU

Looks like DLM isn't running so I called Sky and had them boost the upstream. Still only getting 861 kbps with a noise margin of 14.3 dB, but I'm assuming that 14dB is the noise margin target for uploads so it probably won't go much faster and remain stable. I do seem to be hitting roughly the same upload and download speeds I was getting on O2 before moving.

Default target SNR for upstream is 7dB. Someone uncapped your upstream to 864kbps, so you've still got room for a bit more.
