Select "advanced" in the options menu.

Select "xdslctl configure --mod d --snr 100" from the drop down menu.

      Click execute.

Doesn't survive a reboot, of course.

      Re: Mega slow speeds

Sorry, I should have said, those stats I've listed are taken from the test socket at the front door - ie plate removed underneath the socket, and plugged into the hidden socket under the plate. This is also the socket that the OR guy was using at the weekend.

I've just bought a Netgear router and an ADSLNation filter to see if these will help.
I think that there may be a combination of problems going on.
Firstly because the OR guy could actually get 2 meg easily himself using his laptop and onboard modem. Secondly, at the moment, my phone isn't plugged in, and last night I was getting 1.2meg just by resetting the router. This speed seems to be stable, but I will need to check tonight what the speed is.
I'll phone sky tonight, to see if they can boost the speed up to 2 meg+, and see if it holds without the phone attached, if you guys think this makes sense...

As I said this would be because he was using G.DMT. Try Fuzzy's app, he has given you instructions on how to do it.

      Re: Mega slow speeds

Sorry, I must be blind - where's the link to Fuzzy's app?
Mel's page has a router password hack (I think at least that's what it is).
Can't seem to find Fuzzy's app.
I did find some other app, but it isn't for the DLink...

      Re: Mega slow speeds

Lol - managed to download Mel's app. Mel = Fuzzy?
I couldn't download and test it earlier as I was posting on a work mac.
Now I'm at home and having a blast with it.
So far I can log on with it, but I'll keep at it.

I get this error - obviously something I'm doing wrong (maybe it's because I'm connected using a wifi dongle rather connected using ethernet cable direct to router?).

      Extracting ADSL password, please wait...

      Stage 1: Gaining root access...

      Error extracting password:-

      An ADSL connection is required.
