      Why the speed difference

I am puzzled..... I have moved back into the house I was in 20 months ago... Although not the greatest BB in the world I was averaging 700 KB/p when downloading. Now after moving back in to the SAME house I am getting 300 KB/s.

      Here are the stats:

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2951 kbps 798 kbps
      Line Attenuation 64.0db 37.5db
      Noise Margin 6.9db 8.8db

The exchange hasnt moved and from what I can remember the main telephone socket looks the same.. Anyone got any ideas or how I can get my old speed back?

      Thanks

      Andy

Looks like either line fault or the line is now taking a new route to the exchange

yep line attentiation is different. As I was not the enemy has said there may be a line fault or the line could now be longer in length. You could call sky and ask for a line test to be done although this has a good chance of testing OK. Have you noticed any noise when using the line for voice?

Have you tried plugging into the test socket if you have one?
