16Mbps conservative guess but how are you set up at present?

How is your router set up your end at present? Extension socket? Master? How many sockets have you got in the house?

Router is connected to upstairs NTE5. Landline phone is connected to downstairs NTE5 both are terminated in the junction box outside. Are the stats good for the line length ?

Sort of, noise margin should be higher...just to get things clear, you have an external junction box that then runs to 2 phone sockets? If so, you'll wanna get that changed so you have 1 NTE5 (with correctly wired test socket)

You will have to make some improvements, theoretically you could get around 18-19 Mb, but with your low noise margin, you are not going to get much more than you have now. Try disconnecting the downstairs socket from the external junction box and check your stats. I think your noise margin will jump up. BTO will probably want paid for any work they do.

      Re: From connect to LLU

Hi guys LLU is going live today here are new router stats. Needless to say im not very happy.

      System Up Time: 00:06:06
Port Status TxPkts RxPkts Collisions Tx B/s Rx B/s Up Time
      WAN PPPoA 1639 1951 0 1022 5381 00:05:23
      LAN 569 203 0 597 521 00:06:06
      WLAN 0 0 0 0 0 00:00:00
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 4095 kbps 605 kbps
      Line Attenuation 23.5db 13.5db
      Noise Margin 15.8db 16.1db

I can see LA and NM have changed but its the sync speeds im most knarked about. Is it worth me handing over a small fortune to openreach or just leave it for the next week or so to see how it pans out ?
