Is it the sagem router you have as per your profile? Also, do you have any landline noise or issues at present?

There are some lines, typically those on SVBN (Sky Voice & Broadband Network), that can push out more speed even with the SNR near target, but it's not common.

As Nige pointed out, it would be worth calling through to see if they can do anything for you, but as it stands it does not look like reconfiguring the line would be job done. If they can't get the trained in speed near to what you were estimated, then CST's next action will either be replacement equipment (router, dsl cable, PSU and filters) or to book a LL5 (broadband engineer).

Re: Hi and a little Info Please

Acutally checked again and its the DLINK version of the SKY router ..will update my profile.

Nope no landline noise issues or any type of issues.
I'll give them a call and just say my line speed is not as fast as It should be and see if they can do anything for me.
Thanks for all your help guys

Re: Hi and a little Info Please

Line's been up 12 days pretty solid, with little uncorrected errors.

Something isn't right, however. If you've had a better sync speed before, such as 13mbps as you suggested, then unless the line has degraded in quality, you should be able to get back to that speed at least.

Go with Nige's advice earlier in the thread and give Sky a call - 08442410515. To save any fiddling about, ensure you're in the test socket with just a filter and the short grey dsl cable running to the router, and a phone to call from obviously. Suggest that your speed is slower than what you were estimated and let them take it from there.
