      I had a quick look on the BT 80B RF3 Junction Box, my BT line goes from outside the house straight into a BT Master socket, and the installation says that it needs to before the NTE5 box.

      is there anyway of testing if RF is affecting the line?

      There is no way to do it accurately without the proper tools, but have a look at this Kitz article, which mentions a way to check if it is present.
