      Sky Unlimited Keeps Dropping Out

      Hey all,

      During the time it has taken to register here, activate my account and post this thread, my internet has dropped out a total of four times.

      I have Sky Broadband Unlimited and live in Leicestershire East Midlands. My laptop is connected wirelessly and over the past couple of days the internet has been dropping out. I also have had trouble with the PS3 internet and my siblings internet has also been dropping out. (Great, its just gone again).

      It seems to be happening every 10 minutes or so; and I have tried changing my router settings and fiddling about with the channels and still no change. I have resetted the router a bajillion times and it has little to no-effect.

      I was wondering whether any of you could help me with this problem.

      I think you will need to post your router stats from the master socket.

      The fault could be either the BB connection or something in your home.

      In the interest of ruling out a couple of other things, it might be a good idea to connect your Laptop with a cable for a period of time. It just might be that the issue is to do with your WiFi connection to your router, rather than the BB connection.

      If this were the case, then you could look at changing the following:

      a. position of router
      b. channel that the router uses
      c. other WiFi settings on the router (i.e. encryption)
      d. the router

      If the fault does occur with you connected via cable, then please continue to follow the suggestion that Phill70 has made.
