Most will advise you to leave it on, I always have.

Leave it on and more so when you just joined.

Later you may be able to turn it off at night.

Re: Router on or off overnight?

      I always leave mine on.

Do definitely leave it switched on though if you have just joined Sky has you will be DLM.

I always leave mine on, the reason been, if you reboot/switch the router on of a morning or especially of an evening when you come in from work. You will sync at a slightly lower speed, due to the noise margin been a lower figure at that time of day. The best time to reboot/switch the router on is during the middle of the night has this is when the noise margin will be at it's highest figure.

I currently have over 2000 hours on my Sky D-Link router without a reboot. Also for the very small amount of power the router uses, it's not worth switching it off.
