      Constant low bandwith/disconnects

I've been having a problem for the last few days with suddenly low bandwith/disconnects.

I have sky unlimited and checking the router, I have an upload speed of 536 and download speed of 4096 (about usual). My pc does not report that the connection is being lost (e.g. the network icon is always showing connected) and webpages load fine. However, when streaming video, using chat programmes or playing online games the connection is constantly being lost.

I've tried rebooting the router and checking the connections (this happens both on my pc and laptop, both wired into the router).

Any ideas or help would be appreciated!

Those stats show the LAN connection is nearly 24hrs but the actual Internet connection is just over an hour so you are losing connection

      Re: Constant low bandwith/disconnects

I kind of figured that but what is strange is that while the connection states that it has been up for an hour, it seems to disconnect every few minutes. E.g. streaming will pause or MSN will disconnect.

Are you loosing the wireless connection, if so change the router channel number, start at 13 and work down.

My computer and laptop are both wired in so that shouldn't be the issue!

If you have a d-link router, then paste up the full detailed stats by downloading the application in the following link:
