      Uh Oh stabalisation time

Annoying! My connection (which I have had for 18 months now) started life as 4mb, then got DLM'd to 3mb, I am now two days into a new stabilisation period and it's been dropped to 2mb.

      Brilliant!

It was 3mb for over a year and whilst there were some drop outs, for the most part it was fine.

I think 3mb is about right for me also looking at the stats....

      Down - Att 59db - SNR 14db
      Up - Att 36db - SNR 13db
Plugged directly into test socket (behind master), no phone extensions, or phones for that matter

Worth calling them if it stays like this after 10 days? to take a 3rd off after it was fine for well over a year is annoying.

I doubt I will get past the 1st line though, as they will say wait the 10 days and see. I'm not sure I can handle the hold music for 30 minutes to just be told that

Just let the t1 advisor know what you've done (you're in the test socket with no extensions) and ask politely if they can ring through to CST for someone to uncap the line. They won't even have to create a ticket as it'll take a minute or two.

      Re: Uh Oh stabalisation time

      Well that was surprisingly easy!

Lots of errors on the line probably caused it to go back into the DLM phase but the 2nd line guy just reset it to 4mb. Said see how that goes for a few hours and call us back if it's dropping out all the time and we will put it back to 3mb.

      Good CS Sky!

I was only trying to say that free numbers aren't really free. I don't know if the Sky number takes money out of your pocket though. But 'free' numbers aren't really free, the 2 companies still make their money from those numbers (it doesn't come out of your pocket if it is a free number but they still make money from it)
