      Its been superb but tonight its awful

      To be honest Sky broadband has been superb, i am on unlimited and usually get around 9.5mb but tonight i am having problems...this is my router stats below, i actully rebooted the router to see if that would help but it did not , my wife just mentioned it seemed very slow last night as well !!!

      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 10861 kbps 1106 kbps
      Line Attenuation 33.5 db 16.7 db
      Noise Margin 7.3 db 8.1 db

      No not wireless, the kids run a couple of laptops wireless from this router but they are turned off

      This is now the stats of my replacement router, its the same make and model as the other router

      DSL Link Downstream Upstream
      Connection Speed 10902 kbps 1112 kbps
      Line Attenuation 33.5 db 16.6 db
      Noise Margin 7.1 db 8.3 db

      I am plugged into the master socket using a XTE-2005 faceplate, there is a couple of extensions coming off going to another part of the house and the garage. I had lots of problems approx 7 - 12 months ago and Bt finally admitted (after 3 visits) i had a line fault so i was put on a brand new line and everything was perfect, just strange that the last couple of nights things dont seem to be right

      Hi

      Notice you are in Connah's Quay so not a million miles away as Im in Old Colwyn, Dont know if it is possible that its a geographic thing as I have been getting slow downs in the evening as well, Its dire tonight for me



      This is on a line that syncs at 20mb. You might be better contacting sky tech support if it continues

      Just a thought

      Cheers for that it is certainly possibly, might actually be an exchange problem, i thought all this had ended when i had the new line fitted, it has been superb for 7 months so its a bit of a shock and disappointment that a few minor problems have creeped up again

      Right just unplugged my filtered faceplate from the wall and gone into the test socket using a standard filter just to see if i have an internal wiring fault with any of the extensions, i guess the results rule out an internal wiring fault .

      Im waiting for a level 2 tech to call me back regarding this, If i get an answer I will post it on your thread, in the meantime you could post in the official forum to see if you could get a response from Sky themselves
