Can confirm that my ping is now back to normal at peak times however my throughput is down to an all time low and I now have about 20% packet loss all on a line that syncs at 20mb. I await to see if the fix will be complete by the weekend, as it stands at the moment simple pages such as this take around 3 or 4 min to complete.

Have you tried to reboot your router? It may be worth a shot.

      Also, post your router stats.

Yes router has been rebooted, Im in North Wales and its a known problem that is due to be fixed on the 28th. They have done something as latency is back to normal but now there is packet loss and even lower throughput than previously, my line is fine outside peak times on a line that syncs at 20mb. Maybe they will sort it out as there status page says but Im still seeing packet loss this morning in ping plotter, will see what the weekend brings.

Re: Sky Unlimited Broadband gone slow in the last few days

Just a quick update, the problems at my exchange (Old Colwyn) seem to have been fixed, latency is back to normal and there is no packet loss or slow down at the moment so Sky seem to have managed to sort the problems out on schedule. Hopefully other exchages in the North Wales area will see a similar improvement.

Must have spoke too soon, still good throughput and latency but 25% packet loss again now.

Same here not happy at all, Holyhead exchange, very disappointed seems to be picking up a bit now but it would have done at this time of night anyway, I don't think the fix has been successful, I have rebooted router as well

Re: Sky Unlimited Broadband gone slow in the last few days

Well my throughput was ok @ around 14mb on a 20mb line, latency was ok as well so quite a big improvement but packet loss was pretty bad for most of the night

Reduction in Broadband Speed – Update
The upgrade activity in the Cheshire and North Wales areas is now complete and normal SkyBroadband service has resumed. We apologise for any disruption that customers may have experiencedwhile we completed the upgrade work.
Planned upgrade activity in the Kidbrooke and Kent area is on track and normal service shouldbe restored from Friday 11 February.
If you’re outside these areas and experiencing reductions in your broadband speed, pleasevisit http://www.sky.com/helpcentre/broadb...tion-problems/
Further updates will be posted here and on the Sky HelpForum"

I am in the Stockport (Cheshire) area (SK6) and am yet to see any improvement. If they say they've repaired or finished the upgrade, why is mine still rubbish?
