      Thumbs down Being throttled?

      Hi all,

I've had a look around and can't much relating directly to this error code:

      Code:
      Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): Unknown error.
But I'm pretty sure it's a common one with Sky Connect. It seems to only happen in the evening when a lot of our browsing is made difficult by the fact that pages (happens about 10-20 times an hour when browsing) don't load first time when clicking around.

It's not that the status bar shows they're loading then timing out, they just don't load. It's instant.

They load fine once you hit refresh.

This only happens on an evening and I'm wondering if this is a sign our account is being throttled or is it just Sky Connect really is that bad?

Is there anything we can do to complain as we're only using a couple of gig a month and can't even stream iPlayer in the evening. Often our 8mb (max) connection is running at well under 1mb.

      Any thoughts appreciated.

      James

It is that Sky Connect is really that bad, nothing you can do your end and complaining will get you nowhere.

Vote with your feet and move to a better managed ISP.

Both. I wouldn't get Max either though because they traffic shape severely

Poorbroadband, as usual you haven't got a clue what you are saying. Sky LLU in not traffic shaped and is just about the only true unlimited ISP out there.

      Eh?

Sky LLU is unmanaged! Hence the removal or the FUP. It's well known that Sky offer the only true unlimited and unmanaged broadband.

Connect is managed because it's a re-badged BT product so the managment comes from BT (as it uses a BT line).

I suggest ignoring 'poorbroadband'. He can never back up these delusional assertions.

From taking a look at his previous posts, I can see that. I'm waiting for him to tell me that my 20mb line isn't 20mb as they are throttling it
