      Re: connection problems

First, unplug the dsl cable from the router. Is the noise still on the landline? If so, what type of noise? i.e. crackles/static/popping/whistling.

Do you have filters plugged first into all the phone sockets in use?

      Re: connection problems

If you have crackling on your phone without the router connected and the noise is still there in your Test socket, then you have a fault on your line. This must be reported to whoever is your phone rental provider, it is no use trying to get Sky Boadband out to fix a faulty phone line. If after the fault on your voice line is fixed, you still have problems, then it is time to call in Sky Broadband support. When you report the fault on your line, be it to BT or Sky Talk, do not mention broadband or you will be fobbed off.

      Re: connection problems

If your rental is with Sky, then you phone Sky Talk help, not broadband help. The number is the same but you should be passed to the Talk division. 08442 410 515
