      Brian's is the most likely explanation, although if you are using the white dg834gt sky router and are still using the default WPA-PSK network key, then your wifi network isn't secure.

      If the 'Turn Remote Management On' link is ticked, the Router can be accessed remotely. I am fairly sure this was enabled by default on the DG834GT, not sure about the newer V2 routers.

      It should be disabled in my opinion, or anyone knowing the IP address of the router could log into it. It can be re-enabled if legitimate access is required.
