Stating that you're going to cancel doesn't mean anything to some advisors. A lot will just fire you right on through to cancellations and move onto helping the next customer. You're best just being polite and patient and firm but fair.

That is pretty good, you should get a wired download speed of around 15Mb. Try it here Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester

You problem looks to be entirely wireless.

Thanks for confirming that - I suspected it probably was (I also suspect their router is distinctly pants to be honest). Like I say - initially we got over 10 meg on speed... now we're doing to under 1 meg today which is driving me crackers!

But what is your wired speed? If it is only 1Mb, then something is seriously wrong.

At least we know for sure it's a wireless issue!! See where you get with inSSIDer

Re: At the end of my tether already (disconnects, slow speeds)

well, shortly after my last post, the entire connection went altogether. Router's flashing an amber/red light, and I can't get sense out of customer services because my husband opened the account not me - and he's at work. I'm really fed up with this now, not asking for massive speeds just a useable connection.

Asked cs to escalate me to a supervisor since they were being incredibly unhelpful... Funnily got cut off after 10 mins on hold. So I'm not even able to get the problem fixed and kind of out of options.

Limited net on my phone to look up what alternating amber/red means but very seriously unhappy with things so far
