yep, but they have'nt yet, and if they were going to, would have done so. So i assume that they don't really want to upset the harmony on here.

Even if they were to complain about us advertising the freephone number, and asked us to remove it, I personnally would not be removing any freephone numbers in people's sigs, if you get what i mean.

However i don't think it would come to that.

      Sky phone numbers - alternatives

      Great web site here

      http://www.saynoto0870.com

type in a company name and search, it will give you local numbers and free ones instead of 0870's

At the start of my SKYBB, i phoned about email and ended up telling them what to do, got all different stories from tech but customer services helped me... just to set up more email addresses, took 60 mins on phone !!!!!

      That number

Did indeed try the 0800 number, the lady was unable to help as she could not deal with broadband and gave me the 'usual' 08705 515515.
Have spend much time trying to give Sky my MAC code on their 08700 248933number. The latest, 'holding on' was today 16th Sept from 10.27am until 11.46am,(1 hour 19 mins) I then gave up.
Does anyone know what the proceedure is to follow to cancel my recent Sky TV installation. I am quite prepared to throw away the years subscription. What other charges may be involved, anyone know.

      Welcome to the site kenb

To cancel the SKy TV if it still works the number is 0800 5875707

or you will have to call 08702 404040
      Ray

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

Have I done the right thing????

I signed up and paid for Sky BB just this week but cannot get to speak to anyone to give them my MAC code. Customer services advised me NOT to phone but e-mail instead. I've done that four times but they don't reply. I've tried all the telephone numbers I can find but without success. If you manage to get through at all, it is usually to "the wrong department" - ask for a Supervisor and they cut you off!!!!
      HELP!!!!!!!
Can I cancel and get my 40 quid back?
Is Sky BB worth all this aggravation?

      0800 No...

Greetings... i have been on a few days now, but been unable to log on to the sky site or retreive mail , tried the 0870 No and was in a queue for half an hour and gave up. tried the 0800 No, after the options, 4 rings, and a cheery scot answered the phone... very helpfull but still no joy with the email / logon issue , he said they were aware of it and were working on it and to keep trying ... i have moved from BT (on time, no problems) and have gone from just under 1mb (on a very good day) to over 3mb and so far i am well pleased

      Mr Pastry

(no i dont work for Sky.. i work for a large telephone Co with two Letters...and was paying 20 a month through my wages for a lot less!)

Welcome to skyuser.co.uk and was it BT?

You might think that, but i couldnt possibly comment..

i have been with several ISP`s , including many "fly by night" 25 for life ones, (sucker) usualy right at the start (bigbluesky for one) this site is bringing back a few memories , all bad.. hopefully this will pan out, SKY have been around a good while and "should" have a better infrastructure in place
( billing/customer contact etc) so i hope it comes good.
