      Not what I exepected....

Well BT order said I would have my line mograted this morning and as I dont have my router from Sky or anything I was expecting to be disconnected.

However this morning I log onto my pc and find that I know have a MAX connection (Previously 1MB) but I'm still connected to my old ISP.....

      Whats going on ??

Who do I need to contact my old ISP or SKY ?

Does this mean if I can convince sky to send me a router it will work straight away or will we need BT to do something else ??

      Totally confused now.

      Deano

      Hi Deano

BT can change you over at anytime during the day right up to midnight so no idea where you got the idea that BT order would be no in the morning.

If you are till connected to your old ISP how do you know you are on MAX since that is LLU and your old one is IP Steam, are you sure your not on the Connect package?

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

I am on the connect package, previously I was on 1MB IP Stream package and this morning my router has Synced at a much higher speed than the 1152 I used to get.

Anyway, Ive spoken to Sky who have confirmed that I have been migrated to them and they will email the person who sends out the routers and I should have one by the end of the week......Let hope so.

Also logged into Zen's portal and my line account with them is due to end today so it does look like things are happening.

So it looks like I will loose my connection today as predicted.

Ah that explains it you confused me when you said MAX connection

Yes there have been a number of people who have said that they can still connect to their old ISP when being moved to the Connect package, BT are meant to switch the old ISP over when they make the change but they have been known to forget to do it (there is a technical name for it but I don't remember what it is)

So good luck with your new connection and I hope you do get your router asap.

I hope it does show up but in the meantime it might be a good idea to check on the BT checker and see when your cease date is.

Order tracking: Landline orders You will need to register if you don't already have an account
