Question Bad feeling about activation - orange light on router

Hi, just under 2 weeks ago I signed up for sky broadband unlimited and the basic call package. I got my activation date (3rd Dec) and later my router came, I've had it set up since.

Over the years, due to moving ect I've had different broadband providers and have always found that the broadband is activated before the given date (However this is the first time my line has not been with BT).

My problem is, that my activation date is tomorrow and I still have no broadband and I've got an awful feeling it won't be on tomorrow either. On my router the "@" is constantly lit orange, is this normal while waiting for activation? I know sky won't be able to help me till probably Saturday but I just wanted to know if this is the norm?

Maybe I'm worrying over nothing, but my mate just got with sky too and her bb wasn't activated on the stated date either, I'm so used to having Broadband and am tired of having to use a mobile dongle. Can anyone give me any advice?

      Rach

      PS -
From time to time my router has been a pain in the back side to connect to using 192.168.0.1 - I'm on windows 7 and the PC says "internet access" even though I know there is none and takes forever to bring up the "no internet page", but my iphone seems to have no trouble and instantly gets the message "no internet available"

Unplug it till tomorrow, they rarely activate early as they have to wait till BT Openreach go into your exchange. If possible turn it on tomorrow morning and make sure that it is in your master socket and not on an extension.
Don't worry about what is happening on your PC at the moment, it's probably just Win7 being Win7.

Provided you've signed up to Unlimited, then it's likely you're still connected to BT's equipment at the exchange from those stats. Wait until tomorrow (it can take 'up to' midnight) to be connected and all should be well.
