Whenever I try to any large/largish downloads they end up freezing.

My download speed is about 6mb according to sky test & I'm using windows 7.

      Re: Download Issues

If you are on Sky Connect that may be the issue, try downloading outside the peak hours which are 4pm-midnight.

      Re: Download Issues

You are also restricted to 40Gb, which Sky interpret as 1.3Gb per day. If you exceed this at any time you will also be throttled outside peak hours.

      Re: Download Issues

Sorry balls up on my part. I'm on unlimited & I've tried at all hours.

The downloads just freeze after a few mins.

I've tried using firefox & manuelly pausing & restarting which gets me further than using IE but then the download still crashes.

      Re: Download Issues

Unfortunately you are on Connect If you were on Unlimited you would be getting 20Mb+.

Ask for your MAC and leave, it is a waste of time trying to improve a package that is goig to be throttled into submission. You should have a sync of 8128 Mb, but even if you got that it is not going to help. See all the negative posts on Connect.

There is nothing wrong with Win 7, it improves connections if anything.
