    This is a discussion on has my exchange broken again :( within the Sky Broadband help forums, part of the Sky Broadband help and support category; i dont think i can go through calling sky as ive just come out of hospitle just wondered if north ...

      has my exchange broken again :(

      i dont think i can go through calling sky as ive just come out of hospitle just wondered if north petherwin exchange has problems again my router is synced up niceley but my speed has gone to 0.?? i cant even do a speedtest

      Hi I just left a message on Worlds Slowest Connection? Speed problems Can you do How to get your router statistics I also think you are on Sky Connect can I just check your Sky Broadband package. The reason it looks like you are on Sky Connect which is a Bt re-badged Product and is Traffic Managed from 4pm till 11pm. Not Sky Broadband Unlimited as the north petherwin exchange has no ISPs with LLU.

      iam not sure what the package is that iam on but i was told it was unlimited and i do pay more for that service i do have traffic management problems from time to time but not normaly this bad it took me 5 refreshes just to get this page to load

      Hi you are on the connect package 448kbps upload is usually the give away what you can do to confirm is a Bt Updated Speed Tester all the information is on the link. If you can do that test then you are on connect.

      Hi If you are going to use speed testers. Do the Bt speed tester and Try SkyUsers own Sky User - Broadband Speed Tester Plus Broadband Speed Checker - THE UK's No.1 Broadband Speed Test and thinkbroadband :: UK Broadband Speed Test As they will give you a more accurate test than speedtest.net. Here is a couple of threads you might find interesting Sky Connect Broadband - Are you being slowed down? and (Unofficial) FAQ - Sky Connect Users You were on about low speeds if you have a look at Steve's Sky Connect speedtest blog I was only upgraded in September. The lowest speed I have seen and had is 1kbps Downstream now called the 1k club. I hope the connect package improves soon as I know it can be really annoying. I hope you can get some information out of the links that might help.

      seems like im being throttled more than usual 5.00pm came and my speed droped to 40 kbps

      i think this is about the speed i would get from a dialup connection
      is there anything i can do about this i doint want to go through all that testing sockets and filters ect when its clear that its traffic management also if i request a mac and go with another provider will i have the same problem ????

      Hi Sky have been upgrading exchanges Latest Sky Unbundled Exchanges on SamKnows The issue with the connect package over Subscribed. The more exchanges that Sky upgrade to LLU the better it is going to be for the connect package Customers. Other ISPs don`t seem to Throttle as bad as Sky.
