Im still having the same issues and SKY seem to be ignoring me. Anyone got any other suggestions? Its not wireless thats the issue, as an ethernet cable gave similar results.
      Todays stats
Connection Speed 18431 kbps 1024 kbps
Line Attenuation 19.0 db 6.0 db
Noise Margin 7.15 db 12.0 db

Running a speedtest gives approx 2.5meg down just now, even early morning the most I EVER get is 5 meg

Surely with my attenuation values I should be able to get better? When I actually spoke to SKY they thought I should be able to get around 16 meg.

Just to confirm - you've tried numerous devices? For instance, does your phone show similar results via speed tests as your other device(s)? Have you tried numerous speed test websites?

For clarification, what do you get wired?

Also, you are connecting at 18Mbps so you've got a throughput issue which is likely down to using wireless

      Re: Speed capped @ 4Mbps??

Not a wireless issue as i've used an ethernet cable and got similar speeds to wireless connection.

I've ruled out a PC issue, routers, phone line and internal wiring.

Surely this has to be a service / exchange issue?

Unless there are error stats on the third party router, then there's not much more you can do bar calling Sky. Don't expect any support using a third party router when you call, however.
