      Help With Installing New Filtered Faceplates

      Hello, i need help installing an XTE 2005 Filtered Master Faceplate and an XTE 2005 Filtered Extension .........

      Is it wired up the same as the BT NTE5 Faceplate and Extension?
      Also what is the difference? does this mean i dont need a filter i can plug the router straight in to the router slot ?

      i am thinking about installing them because my speed was around half a meg lower when the extension was wired up..........

      The filtered faceplate connects in the same way as the standard BT one. The difference is that the 2,3 and 5 filters on the XTE 2005 are filtered from the main supply, whereas on the BT plate they are not. Here are the instructions for fitting the plate, which may give you an idea what is required. -

      You do not need plug in filters when using a filtered faceplate.
