      New Customer - Complete Novice/Idiot

Hi I'm new to Sky Broadband and please bear with me as I'm a total novice with regards to computers and networks.

Anyways my sky broadband is running great apart from one thing.

My iphone which through the wifi disconnects during the night about two or three times a week. It only does it at night and the only way to reconnect is to forget the network on the phone and then re-input the password.

My partner's iphone does not do this and both our laptops are fine and stay connected. Her iphone sits next to mine at nigh so there is no difference in physical location. Hers is an iphone 4 however whereas mine is 3GS.

Any ideas? I've read about changing channels but don't see how it can be a conflict when its only my iphone we have trouble with.

If it only happens at night it is probably interference from another source which switches on at that time. Try changing the channel. Start with channel 13, that often gives good results.

      Thanks, will try that out.

Any ideas why it only affects my iphone and not my partners? Hers sits right next to mine at night.

No idea really, but it could be they use different wireless adapters.
