      So if the router fixes nothing and i call Sky back and they book an engineer visit but don't mention any possible charges i should be solid i figure.
      Will wait and see on the new router i guess.

      The reason you have lost speed again is some character at Sky has put your line on ADSL2+, which it obviously can't handle. Call them up and tell them to put it back on G.DMT.

      With an attenuation of 61dbs, you are nothing like the same distance from the exchange.
