Another cas of limited broadband speed

      Hi guys

I have been with sky broadband for 2 years and up until 2 weeks ago have constantly had a line speed of 6mb down and 750k up always been on the unlimited plan. Now in the past two weeks my speeds have been 3.4 mb down and still 750k up.

I have rang sky and done all the usual tests checking filters, line check etc but no joy and the advisor says my telephone line can only handle 3.5mb down even though I tried to explain I have constantly had 6mb down for 2 years.

About 3 weeks ago I was sent a new sagem sky router and maybe coincidence but that is about the time the speed dropped.

Is there anything I can do to invesigate this further or am I stuck as my line is said to only handle 3.5mb?

      Thanks in advance

Wrong stats, click on 'Show Statistics' and post them up, including the noise margin/attenuation figures

Re: Another cas of limited broadband speed

Well, no it's not as if there was more to come you'd have a larger noise margin as opposed to the default...your line as it is now can give no more

mullins I am having the exact same problem with no real explanation, the more of these I read the more I am convinced Sky is behind something here even though many people are saying they are not.
