      Alternative Router

      Hi

I know using a different router is against T+C's but is there any way that they can tell??

The reason being is that i have a router with VOIP functionality, where i can plug any phone into it and use it as a VOIP phone, very handy when used with mutliple dect wireless phones.

Also with all the issues i have heard with the Netgear, it seems stupid to switch my awesome trusty router for something that seems flakey to say the least.

Having owned a netgear before, and promply returning it several days later because of poor wireless, i really am turned off by having to use one again, especially when i have a perfectly good router already!

You can use another router but how unless you have been able to get the Username and Password.

But at the end of the day it's upto you.

Sorry but the subject is taboo in the main forum.

Some Advice.. Its always advisable to inform your old ISP as soon as you have migrated that you have moved.

To the techies it maybe rubbish but there are a lot of people who have very little or no idea and so once they have a working connection they don't care and SkyBB do it as they could never supply the support need for the multitude of routers that are out there.

I don't mind the DG834GT but I would much rather use my DG834N Rangmax by far the best of all the Netgear routers.
