      Slow 0.3mb Internet?

      Hi, new poster-

      I'm living with my mum for a month or so and her internet is very slow (Has been for a while, she says). I called up Sky for her and after saying about having a speed of 0.3mb, Sky said we were "not entitled" to over 0.5mb, which led me to presume we were on some cheap basic package. I checked her statement through the TV, but the statement says we are on Sky Unlimited. If that's the case, why are we capped at 0.5mb?

      Any help would be gladly appreciated!

      Just phone Sky and ask them to reconfigure your line speed. You should get 4+ Mb.

      Do my stats look alright then?

      I'll call them soon, has anyone got a number to get through to the appropriate people to do it? Thanks guys

      You're heavily capped by the looks of things. 08442410515 will get you through to the right dept.

      And I ask for them to reconfigure on that number, or something else? Surely Sky can't cap me this much on Unlimited, pretty disgraceful if they do.

      Probably DLM capping due to noise issues on the line - it's not done on purpose

      And the cap is on download SPEED, not USAGE - Unlimited is truely unlimited

      So there's nothing I can do about it?

      Will it be the same problem if I change from Sky to a different company?

      No, you can. Sky can increase the speed as DLM is likely to have been a bit over zealous...give them a bell and see what they can do
