Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to
      6.0Mb (6144Kb)

      Upload Speed
Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to
      0.8Mb (800Kb)

      Router stats
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 5716 kbps 593 kbps
      Line Attenuation 51.0db 33.1db

Does this look about right to you guys or should i be asking sky to reset it?

      Thanks

      Marc

That's a great result for 51db attenuation. I get 5.5 meg on 45db attenuation AFTER having sky manually adjust it upwards.

      Re: Line testing

The download is spot on for your attenuation, but your upload is a bit low. Try changing the filter.

      @Stephen79
Your speed is a bit low, you should get 7-8Mb with a decent line.

      Re: Line testing

Is there anything i can do to improve it? Or is the attenuation due to the distance from exchange?

I tried another filter and i am still getting same upload.

      Re: Line testing

The attenuation is due mainly to your disrance from the exchange, there is not much you can do, other than move house.

See if you can get hold of a filter which has not been supplied by Sky. Some of their filters are poor and if you have one bad one the rest are probably the same.

      Re: Line testing

A mixture of adsl2plus and noise protection on the upstream may be the issue of the upstream sync. Only getting Sky to reprofile it would be the answer if that was the case.
