      This is all i am getting for the past week.
      I had problems with an old Netgear router so Sky sent me a new Sagem Router two months ago, which fixed the problem.
      Last week, after my broadband has been running fine started going haywire.

      Connection keeps dropping off many times per day (the problem i had with the old router) and now i keep getting the message "Your internet connection is not available, please try again in a few minutes."
      It then asks me to put in my username and password to access webpages.
      After a few minutes its fine again.

      Its only been happening for the last week though.
      Its a brand new router so not sure what is going on here?

      How many telephone sockets do you use?
      Is the router plugged into the master socket or an extension socket?
      Are you running any extension cables to the router?
      Is every telephone socket filtered correctly, with a filter directly into each socket in use?
      Is Sky tv plugged into any sockets?

      1 Telephone Socket
      Router is plugged into the master socket via the standard line.
      I have checked the filters and even replaced the original with a new filter.
      Sky Tv is downstairs, the master socket is upstairs in the office so no problems there.

      I had no problems up until a week ago, which is odd.

      Fire up your stats from the master socket and then take the stats from the test socket if you have one.

      Router is plugged into the master socket via the standard line.
      Is the filter the first thing plugged into the socket?

      Yes,
      I have the filter plugged directly into the socket with the phone and router connect to it.
      Today (so far) no interuptions, seems to do it a lot in the evening up until i go to bed around 02:00
      Last night it was disconnecting every 5mins or so. Took me ages to get on this site to reply to the questions.

      My last problem i had was intermittent connectivity after a good few months of stable connection then i had to change the router. Which sorted the problem out. Now i have the new router, again several months of stable connectivity and now this problem arises.

      I haven't changed anything in the loop, no adding, no disconnecting.
      Sky tells me the connection is fine, BT came to check the socket and test socket which is fine and they told me originally there was a problem in the Green Box down the road. A BT engineer went down to take a look and phoned me direct saying there was no problems whatsoever.
      Its going round in circles. I shall keep going and see how many times it disconnects today but so far as i said, going good....

      Baffling :-\

      Hi could you post your stats using the link How to get your router statistics also can you confirm your exchange is it one of these. Bickleigh. Craddock. Cullompton. Kentisbeare.
      Plymtree. Rackenford. or Tiverton.

      It's taken me 10mins to get on here tonight. It seemed to have started with the problems tonight bang on 18:50. No troubles throughout the day today which is a first for a week.
      All i got tonight was "timed out" all the time.

      Anyway, my stats:
      Connection Speed = 18012 kbps (Downstream) 954 kbps (Upstream)
      Line Attenuation = 9.5db (Downstream) 4.2db (Upstream)
      Noise Margin = 6.3db (Downstream) 7.4db (Upstream)

      My Exchange is Tiverton, 01884

      Are you using wireless?

      It looks like your problem may be wireless interference or REIN. Both of these can be caused by something being switched on at a set time each day.
