You will be paying a lot less, 15.00 less 2.50 for having TV and 5 for having any Sky Talk package. So a total of 7.50 if you have both.

      Re: Suddenly Painfuly Slow!

Becoming more glad I ventured onto this forum by the minute....certainly didn't expect to be saving a few quid!

When I phone and ask to be upgraded to LLU (going to go for the unlimited package) is the operator going to know what I'm talking about or should I expect the fob off? How hard should I expect to have to push the issue?

This number (08442 414 141) should get you through to sales who can change the package to unlimited.

      Re: Suddenly Painfuly Slow!

Hi all, just a quick update and big thanks.

I'm now a proud Sky Unlimited Broadband customer. Only after a long and fraught battle re the LLU Unbundling at my exchange.

About to order my XTE-2005 and got a bloke who can fit it for 40 notes....small price to pay considering the benefits.

Cheers again to everyone who offered help and advice! Very much appreciated!

Now you have to go through the painful DLM process, but it will all be worth it in the end.

      Re: Suddenly Painfuly Slow!

I've just got back home, an hour or two after ordering Unlimited, and things are looking up already:

That probably doesn't seem like much but to a guy who was getting the results shown at the beginning of this thread those results are like reaching the promised land! :-)

I'm assuming that I'll have to go through a week or so of drastic fluxuation with the dreaded DLM but, as you say, it'll be worth it in the end!

Hi Great stuff. I have just had DLM run on my Line first when moved on LLU and again when moved over to Sky`s Voice and Broadband Network. (SVBN) I had no problems at all. Here`s the thread I started Unbundled Exchange Unlimited is excellent. DLM should start 2 to 3 days after your starting date

      Re: Suddenly Painfuly Slow!

Steve, that's magic mate. Some really useful info on your thread.
Something niggling at me though. When I phoned and they agreed to upgrade me to Unlimited I was so shocked that I totaly forgot to mention about the LLU Unbundling at the Fencehouses exchange. Is that something that they will automaticaly apply to my new service or something I should have asked about specificaly?

Hi that`s OK because Unlimited is LLU. The connect package is the only one that is not LLU. Were you given a date. You can check at your My Sky log in and if you click on track your order now. The date for the change over should be there.

Here`s some info on Common ADSL jargon and abbreviations they might come in handy.

      Re: Suddenly Painfuly Slow!

Just been on My Sky to track the order. Says: Your order is progressing and we aim to have your Broadband up and running by the end of the day on: 10/11/2010.

Is that when I should expect the DLM to start? How long do you reckon before I'm up to full speed?

Thanks for the link to the jargon list. I've cut and pasted it all into a word doc for future ref :-)
