      If your noise margin is a bit better in the Test socket, around 9Mb. There is something seriously wrong when you can't even get the normal start speed of 4 Mb.

      Thanks for that, I will try it again today and try the test socket and see what I get.

      These are my stats from my router plug into the box directly I had it ran on an extension lead cos the router needs to be upstairs, so thought I would see what the stats are without the extension.

      That's much better, you need to ditch the extension, it is killing your connection.

      Yeah think I might, take it I will still improve on my connection too when DLM kicks in.

      Also are these any good?

      You should see 10mb now, you just need a standard ethernet cable to run from the router to the PC.
