So, I'll stop worrying! However, any ideas what May be the cause of the difference?

      Thanks for your time,

      Re: Been moved to SVBN.....

      Hello again.....

Now, can anyone shed any light on this, please:

I have noticed that, for the last couple of days, at 3am (thereabouts) my connection has been re-started and my sync speeds have been progressively increasing. Today, my stats are:

      Down Up
      11,529 945
      30.5 16.0
      7.2 13.6

.....to me, it's as if Sky are performing some kind of line monitoring, or something, and are slowing moving me up their "profiles".....

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks, as always

      Matt

It looks like DLM is doing it's thing, you may see it in you Sky account.

      Oh, ok.

When Sky (eventually) replied to my email (it took about 3 or 4 weeks, seriously!) one of the questions they answered was "yes, it is a known fault at the moment that if you're on SVBN then your Sky connection details aren't available". I'll re-check in case they've fixed that. Cheers.

      Re: Been moved to SVBN.....

Smithy99 - I've just logged on to Sky, and they have fixed that "Connections Details" fault. In fact, it now states that "Testing on your broadband connection began on 28/10/2010 and will be completed within 10 days. You may notice some variations in your broadband speed and this is normal. We are aiming to give you the best quality experience. Please leave your router on during this time." - so thanks for re-pointing me back there. I'll leave well alone now :-)

However, and it's purely a side note, but wouldn't it make more sense to ping out an email to inform you that this is what they're doing? Had it not been for you, I would have probably been fiddling with my router this weekend, totally messing up their DLM session (since the last contact I had from Sky was informing me that the "connection details" info was broken at the moment, I wouldn't have bothered to check it).

      Cheers, much appreciated.

      Matt

An e-mail wouldn't hurt but then again the website can be days behind too.
