      Internet Speed Slowed

Hi guys, just wondering if someone could possibly help me out, In the morning my sky broadband seems to go pretty decent around 7MB/s then as the day goes on, I end up having speeds of 0.15mb/s? Which doesn't even let me watch a 20 second video on youtube without having to wait about an hour! I've been thinking about phoning up the last couple of days but I keep thinking it will just fix itself? If it reaches 7MB I just don't understand why it doesn't stay that way, or at least drop down to 6mb... 0.15? Hopefully someone can help me out! Thanks in advance!

      Re: Internet Speed Slowed

The pics help me but don't help you I.m afraid

You are on Sky Connect which is just about the worst broadband in the UK, it is way over capacity and come peak hours 5pm-midnight is useless as it is throttled to death.

The only soloution, move to a better ISP. Check your exchange out here:- SkyUser - Sky Broadband Availability and Exchange Checker and see if there are any LLU suppliers in there. If there are let us now who and we may be able to advise.

Other than that, Plusnet, IdNet or Zen are all good.

      Re: Internet Speed Slowed

Thanks Smithy, I checked the link and there are no LLU suppliers in my area, I just recently moved to the middle of nowhere. Does that mean i'm stuck with this slow speed? Damn!

      Re: Internet Speed Slowed

No, Plusnet, IdNet and Zen will all offer a better connection using the same BT network that Sky Connect uses, this is because they manage their networks much better and buy more capacity as they add more customers, something Sky haven't done for a long time.
