      Unlimited and Sky Talk Freetime

      Hi guys,

I am a skytv customer and was looking at the Unlimited broadband & free calls deal for 7.50 a month. Is it SMPF (shared and the phone line remains on BT hardware and I carry on paying line rental to BT) or Full LLU with both the phone and broadband is unhooked from BT kit onto the third parties hardware?

I rather keep my line with BT in case I hit any problems and need to move back to another ISP.

This deal seems too good to be true, are there any catches?

You can take the deal without taking Sky rental. Remember taking the 'free;' calls doesn't mean you pay nothing. Any calls outside the free period have to be paid for. If you make many calls outside the free time you are probably better going for the unlimited package at 5.

"Without taking Sky rental", by that do you mean without the sky talk? Then it is 12.50 which again is a good enough deal compared to the 20 p/m I am paying for 30gig peak and 300gig offpeak. I don't use my land line to make calls but I am wondering if there is a catch and whether it requires that you move to full LLU?

The Sky Talk call package - freetime or unlimited (5) - can be added to a BT line under a CPS (carrier preselection) arrangement, enabling you to get the Sky broadband discount without moving line rental to the Sky voice network.

Thanks for that. I have just gone ahead and placed the order.
