      Loss of sync

      Hi,

Been having issues for a few days and nights loosing sync on the Netgear DG934G. Yesterday afternoon had a few hours of it constantly reconnecting, phoned Sky and nothing there seemed to help, it's been fine for as long so any suggestions where to look would be great, already tried filters, cables , sockets etc, all seem to working correctly. Last problem was around midnight when WiFi radio lost connection, seems to be ok this morning!

      Re: Loss of sync

Have you tried monitoring the stability from the test socket (by unscrewing the master socket faceplate off)?

      Re: Loss of sync

The only thing you can do is swap over for a new filter and monitor from the test socket with nothing plugged in but a filter and the short grey dsl cable Sky supplied. If it is still dropping from there, then it needs looked into by Sky for either a faulty router or line fault.

Update: After 1 week in master socket connection is fine, no re syncs, been connected 180 hours

I can leave the router in this location as the PC that was downstairs was replaced with a wireless laptop, I will reconnect the master socket to enable the phone to be used upstairs again.

Thanks again for your help sorting this out.

I will monitor it for a week first, if it returns then the faceplate must be the problem!

      cheers
