      Line training

I, will be joining Sky on the 04/10/2010 from BE.

I am on a fairly long line but, stable one:-

      "Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,256 / 9,000
      Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [MB/GB]: 43.36 / 1.07
      Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 19.0
      Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 25.0 / 46.5
      SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 6.5 / 6.5"

I didn't realize Sky "LLU" had a training period as, with BE there is none.

How long is it before a line is back up to full speed?

      Thanks

      Re: New on Sky Unlimited.....

The DLM training period is 10 days, but most are up to full speed within 2 days of it starting. With an attenuation of 46.5 I will be surprised if you get 9000kbps with Sky. 7-8000 is more likely, but you may get more if you have an exceptionally good line.
