      Re: Getting Broadband Unlimited

Phoned Sky today regarding a friend who is interested in getting Sky broadband unlimited and Skytalk anytime.

      I was quoted:-
      Line rental 11 per month
      Skytalk anytime 5 per month
      Broadband unlimited 7.50 per month

If my friend decides to take Sky TV basic package an extra 19 per month.

Is this incorrect and the broadband is actually 10 per month as she is not a Sky TV subscriber?

Additionally I enquired about my broadband subscription as I thought I was paying 10 per month (I am a sky TV subscriber as well as Skytalk anytime).
It was confirmed that I am indeed paying 10 per month and didn't I get the letter from Sky recently informing me that I had to get in touch with them to reduce my payment to 7.50.
I did ask if this letter required a magnifying glass to read this offer in the small print or if indeed it could be found in a filing cabinet with the title beware of the tiger. (I know I misquoted Douglas Adams and it's a leopard).
The upshot is that I was not entitled to a rebate for the couple of months that this has been in place. I could however be put on to the 7.50 tariff if I agreed to a further 12 month contract with Sky broadband. I have been a subscriber since 2007.

Suggest all existing broadband unlimited check their payments. I have agreed to the further 12 month contract but do feel it is a bit naughty and comes under the 'new customers only' banner.

      Regards
      Dave

      Re: Getting Broadband Unlimited

If your friend takes a Sky TV package, then broadband is 7.50 - because you get a discount of 2.50 for having TV and 5 for Skytalk.

If she doesn't, then she would pay 10 for broadband, if she takes SkyTalk
