      Belkin Range Extender/Access Point

      Hi Guys

I currently use the Sagem sky router but the wireless doesn't reach all parts of my house which is a bit annoying.

I just purchased the above device (model number :F5D7132)

I can't get this device to work with my current sagem router wirelessly, I can however get this working wired but the signal is still not strong enough using the belkins wireless.

I want to be able to plug the Belkin somewhere else in my house for maximum coverage.

To use wirelessly I need to have all my sagem router security disabled but I am struggling as to how to do this.

I tired removing the password of the sagem router, but this did not work, I even added a firewall rule and this didn't work.

Any ideas, or should I just sell this and buy a wireless N router to use with the sagem router?

      Re: Belkin Range Extender/Access Point

      Hi,

Did you ever find the answer to this, as I am trying to do a similar thing.

I'd like to use my Belkin F5D7130 (uk version) to extend my new Sagem Wireless N router.

I know how to do this using the PowerLine (RJ45 over Powercable), where you essentially plug the belkin into the SageM router, but I didn't want to go and buy those just yet.

If you have managed to get this working, let me know. Thanks!

Not a Belkin, but this may give you an idea of what you have to do. The Belkin would have to support WDS. Sagem router and Tenda W311R+ WDS
