      Unable to access microsoft.com

I have this problem where I can't access microsoft.com at all, or any subdomain, I get "server not found"

I have no problems with other websites. I've tried this on two different laptops, both fresh, untouched installations of Windows XP

If I go to services, and reset DNS Client, then it works until I reboot the laptop

      Re: Unable to access microsoft.com

That is one of the first signs of malware on your PC. You may find that you are unable to access security sites like Norton, Kapersky etc. Go here and download Malwarebytes.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

Allow the program to update and then run a Quick scan. Remove anything it recommends. When it finishes, run it again, this time in Full scan mode.

Occasionally, trojans will prevent the opening of any security programs, so it may be a good idea to rename mbam-setup.exe to explorer.exe.

Note - When downloading always select the Custom install or you will end up with stuff you don't want.
