      If the fault is proven to your equipment by Openreach e.g. equipment or your internal wiring, then yes, 99.88 call-out charge and 64.63 per hour.

      However, if you confirmed a whistle still present as tested with two corded handsets directly into the test socket then it's not going to be your problem and thus no charge. Call up Sky and tell them everything you've tried and make sure you tell them it's a whistling noise - that's important.

      just noticed my sagem router fw is now 2.8 and changed back to MER but having no problems, is it supposed to be MER now? or is it available/best to change it back to PPPoA.

      Plus can someone direct me to a good filtered faceplate.thanks

      Have a look at this thread. It comes down to they are all very much alike. Don't buy the very cheap ones you see costing about a fiver, they cannot possibly contain quality parts.
