Broadband speed slows down alot in evening.

What you have to remember is that if more than one person is using the connection, the bandwidth has to be shared. If one PC is downloading torrents for instance, unless it is carefully controlled, it will suck the life out of the connection for other users.
Sorry i wasnt sure if it was a good idea revieing a really old thread, I've tried just having one pc connected to the internet and it was still doing the same, it didnt make a difference.

Try switching off wireless in the router and then try again through wired to your pc.

If you are 100% sure there are:
      1. No Unauthorised devices on your network
      and
      2. No Infected machines on your network
then your looking at either a lot of errors on your line or a faulty router.

If you are using a DG834GT go to this site and press the Detailed stats button post the results. Don't bother about the first Ping part as it is not relevant.
      Mel's Notes: Dg834gt-1skuk

You could also install Mossywell's BSR tool, which can do the same thing, it is more useful for doing regular checks, available from here, -
New monitor tool (2.0.0.0) to reboot router automatically

      Im using the DG934G router.
Your Profile said otherwise, but it was obviously the default setting.
You could try MMRT's Sky router tool. This will show errors on the line and a lot more cool things. Every Netgear user should have one.

Re: Internet speed slows down in late afternoob/evening (also effect my gaming)

I've installed MRMT32 but when i try run the software it brings up firefox and says Unable to connect. Also tried running it as a admin didnt help. Im having the same problem as deadman1984.

EDIT: got it working by disabling then re-enabling MS NET.

What sort of information should i be looking out for?

There is all sorts of information there, first have a look at your errors. Click the graph tab and then the ADSL errors link on the left. This will show the errors logged over different periods, last hour, day, month etc. It is not as useful as the full stats available from BSR as it does not give you the total frames, but it does show if you are getting a lot of errors. The Connection details also gives you a quick way of getting your stats.
