      Your noise margin has jumped 1.5db after disconnecting that wire, smells to me like there is something on the other end of that cable picking up noise. Try and trace it back to where it goes. At present you should be getting another 1mb over your current speed.

      im not sure what you mean, should i call Sky up and tell them i think there is a problem with my line?

      You can call sky up and get them to increase your speed a little, but I would really be trying to find out just where the other end of that cable ends up!
