Unhappy Is my router at fault?

Up until recently I've been getting about 5000kbps. Not great but I can live with it. However, last week I went away for 5 days and came back to about 1700kbps and a router that keeps disconnecting (yellow flashing light on the front).

      Surely this can't be right.

Is there anything I can try to help increase my speed?

      Thanks in advance

It looks like you have a faulty router, a fault in your external line or faulty internal wiring. To rule out the last, post your stats from the Test socket, using only the ADSL cable and filter supplied by Sky,

In addition to what isitme has asked your stats look like DLM has kicked in and reduced your speed. You should be able to get at least 3mb on those stats.

Thanks for the replies, I've not been back online for a while as I've been away.

Anyway here are the stats direct from the test socket.

If DLM has kicked in again do you think I should get onto Sky?

Re: Is my router at fault?

It looks like your mode has been changed from ADSL2+ to G.DMT. You now have a fair bit of noise margin in hand so you should phone Sky and ask them to lift the cap on your line. With a bit of luck you will end up with about 6 Mb. They should leave it on G.DMT as moving it back will probably put you back where you were.
