No its not right, none of your speeds reflect what your line should be capable of. Plug into your Test socket using only the filter and ADSL cable supplied by Sky and post your stats from there.

      Stats as in
      ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 1557 kbps 350 kbps
Line Attenuation 29.5 db 12.3 db
Noise Margin 6.8 db 9.5 db
from the test socket so we can compare them with your first post. Might want to remove your external IP from your post.

Re: Is sky taking the mick???

His sync speed is better in the test socket though so theres obviously something wrong with the internal wiring.

Re: Is sky taking the mick???

Big change in stats so it's definitely internal issue, check your filters and setup. If you had the router on anything other than the master socket that may account for it.

Extensions are not a good idea with adsl as you've just noticed. Preferably, have the set-up as follows:

master socket > microfilter > router/phone (using the short grey dsl cable sky supplied from filter to router)

If you're running the extension to get the router closer to a desktop, then either buy a longer ethernet cable or go wireless if need be.

Re: Is sky taking the mick???

Get yourself a filtered faceplate (such as adslnations XTE-2005) fit it on your master socket and then run the router from that. Once that's done your looking at getting 14-15mb after a quick call to sky.

Pace SKY HD With Seagate Pipeline HD 2TB
