      re-syncs when phone dials out

      Hi, got a problem with our internet as its started randomly dropping the connection. sky have reduced my upload speed and also replaced my router with a d-link one but no cure.

      Ive noticed that when i pick up the phone to dial out (usually to sky lol) the router sometimes re-syncs and the internet reconnects, doesnt drop when i hang up either.

      Im using to test socket, no extentions etc and replaced the filters/psu with the latest router.

      any help appreciated. here are my stats

      Could it be a problem with your phone, do you have another one to try or can you borrow one?

      Sorry to dig this thread up again.

      Im still have problems with random disconnects & failing to sync issues with my broadband. Im also still getting it in the neck from my resident teenagers

      Ive changed my home phone now but with no improvement. The (new d-link) router sits there with the dsl light flashing orange but does not connect.

      Any ideas please experts.

      Existing install - phone & router connected to filtered faceplate

      It is probably a fault with the line or your connection in the exchange. All you can do is report it to Sky and ask them to send out a broadband engineer.

      It may be worthwhile downloading and running Router stats Lite, showing the graphs to an engineer may give him an idea what is wrong.
