When she got me to do SpeedTest and it came up as 17kb/s she was surprised
She doesn't understand throughput. You may well be at 5mb/s but what good is it when there's nothing to pull in. Get the mac

Hi It is Sky that are doing the traffic management not Bt. It is also a well known fact at Sky about the connect package.

      Re: What is this rubbish?

Asked for the MAC code and the guy said it would arrive within 3-5 working days. He also kept asking if I was changing ISP's so I just kept it vague and said I was "looking into it".

Hi that`s it done well by keeping it vague. If you and your dad are thinking about TalkTalk look at post #42 gives all the information. Deals and Members Forum

      Re: What is this rubbish?

Well we are actually still just thinking about it atm. My mum is not sure about it because she doesn't want to have to change email adress and phone number again.

If we do decide to go ahead with it do I call Sky next and ask for them to cancel it without charging me for the full 12 months or do I call TalkTalk and give them my MAC code first?

Hi you use the Mac Code first. If you cancel sky first they will disconnect your broadband. Who does your dad have the phone and phone line with.
